Mini Update 4-7-2011

I'm back! Yes, it has been a while. I am in the second semester of my Sophmore year and I have a Midterm for my Art History Class I need to finish so this update will be short.

-3/23 made it two years since I did my BC and went natural. I am still somewhat of a product junkie and is always eager to try something new.

-I am towards the end of my Sophmore year. Boy, does time fly! I have around 63 credits to go, which is slightly more than half. Only two years to go...looking. forward to it.

- Tery and I broke up for good 1/16 this year. I wouldn't say I'm indifferent to it but it's always been on and off, anyway. I'm doing what I need to and contending with it by hanging out with my two closest friends (Marcine and William). Moreover, I've been immersed in so much (work, school, readimg, my hobbies,) that I've nearly forgotten I was ever in a relationship-or that we've even broken up. It never was really that harrowing to me.

Finally...

-I've began dating someone new. His name's Arthur (Artie or Art for short) and I met him back in July at my job. Since then we've been on a few dates and it feels good to take things slow.

I promise to post as soon as I don't have all this backlog of work on my shoulders. Till next time!

Mini Update

With the backlog of schoolwork and life being as equally encumbering, I'll try to make at least three entries a month. What's new?

-1/20: my laptop was finally delivered; my studio 1555

-Spring Semester began 1/25: mideterms spanning through this entire month.

-2/9: I filed my taxes and received my federal check just yesterday. Presently, I'm buying a new bed, chest of drawer, nightstand and mattress.

-2/15: Tery and I ended our relationship. Honestly, the cessation hasn't affected me as hugely as I thought it would. I cared about Tery but there were just a lot of reservations I discerned he had; being in a relationship period. We ended on amicable terms and he's assured we'd be friends. Hoenstly, I'm not waiting for any of that to ensue. I have college to finish and my life to carry on. If anything, this is a betterment as opposed to a setback. Now that I'm single, I plan to stay that way for a good while.

- 2/28: William is tentative about Otakon and he may not go. All the same, I'm going to pre-register and have resolved to go, with or without accompaniments.

Mini Update: 1/20

Under the weather but steadily recovering. What's on my mind now: making sure these gifts are ordered, shipped and my two best friends receive them.

I haven't forgotten, guys.

You know who you are.

My laptop's to be delivered today but Fed-Ex, as usual, can never designate a set time for it. I persume around 1, even earlier.

Post tomorrow on all the hauls I've acrrued over last weekend and this week.

Mini Update

I have roughly a week left in my vacation: classes begin on the 25th. I have to say, though, my schedule's looking very convenient as opposed to last semester's. I only attend classes Thursday, Friday and Sunday-so it looks like I'm back to 5 hours shifts at my job starting week after.

I have Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays all to myself, which I can allocate a lot of study and leisure time.

Marcine's gift has been restocked and I just placed the order. Hopefully they have wrapping paper in clearance at the Duane Reade across rhe street. For the cosmetic junkie she is, I know she'll love it.

Lastly: William's gift.

Extra Credit

My new credit card came in the mail this afternoon; it really wasn't something I was expecting. Its credit limit was decent and its requisite for me to make a first purchase once I get one. In hindsight to credit cards, I didn't do so well with my first-and I'm still currently paying my Victoria's Secret one (can't wait till it is...). I'm being wary with this one, as it's my third and I had enough restraint to be responsible with my Victoria's Secret card.
One or two small purchases wouldn't kill, right?

As a student, this credit card can be resourceful-for any emergency that may unceremoniously arise.Keeping my credit limit in mind, I purchased an HP webcam I've had my eye on.My laptop's currently underway and should be here by the time I go return to class. With shipping and handling, it only came up to about $48.26...but then I had the impulse to make one more trivial, yet tempting purchase...

Marcine's a cosmetics junkie and anything you're looking for she's bound to have. After receiving a reference to a considerably cheaper site than hello-gorgeous.net (By $1.47, which is a steal), I went to town with the OPI polish-and by "town" I mean enough for a mini haul, which is, personally, comrprised of 4-8 products. My picks were:
-Teal the Cows Come Home (Deep Turquoise)

-La Paz-itively Hot (Hot Pink)

-Flashbulb Fuchsia (Pinkish-Purple)

-Koala Bear-y (Berry, moderate Pink)

A lot of the other polishes I had my eye on were sold out, unfortunately but the great thing about OPI is such an extensive variety so I didn't mourn for long. Luckily, Hello Gorgeous had the Purple with a Purpose, That's Hot! Pink and the Charged Up Cherry I was pining for, which were out of stock on the other site. I have to say...restraining myself is becoming a lot easier these days. If it were two years ago, I'd have already maxed my card out already. Presently, I'm barely halfway through...

I really can't wait till they arrive. I'm trying the Turquoise color first. By the way the site is: http://8ty8beauty.com/

Those Who Hunt e.l.f

All my goodies splayed out on my bed

I had some extra cash to burn last week and perused a site one of my best friends, Marcine seemed to be hooked to. It's called e.l.f (eyes lips face) and it spans a huge variety of cosmetics for well...the eyes, lips and face. First I registered for their website to receive newsletters and such--and I got a pleasant surprise.

You wouldn't guess...a $10 off coupon! The site alone was addictive but the coupon gave me just enough drive to do a haul, albeit not a large one but...satisfiable for me.

In any case, I promptly began filling my cart with any cosmetic that caught my eye. I had to filter my cart a couple times, as I didn't want to spend too much and I wanted to do a second haul next month, around my birthday. I may buy duplicates of my previous order, or may just snag up some more eyeshadow cream and a couple more brushes. I'm going to definitely need a cosmetics bag, too...

I purchased all 7 of the Hypershine Lipgloss:

Hypershine Gloss, all 7 colors. My favorite's Vixen

Eyeshadow:

Top: Cream Eyeshadow, black licorice/blueberry. Bottom: Eyeshadow Duo, Butter pecan/Olive

Brightening Eye Color and Eyeshadow Applicator brushes:

Left: Punk Funk Center: Eyeshadow Brushes Right: Butternut

Brushes, toe separators, nail buffer and a cuticle pusher:

Liquid Eyeliner Pen and Eyeliner Pencil:

I won't be using them..yet, until I order some OPI nail polish I've been eyeing and show you my haul from there. I found a pretty good site that has OPI nail polish for cheap: and free shipping for orders over $49. In the meantime, I have three late Christmas gifts and I'm going to go check if Marcine's gift is back in stock. Later for now.

Thank you, Marcine

Mini Update

I'll be blogging more frequently, now that I have a faster desktop and my laptop's being built.

Some products just came in the mail, so expect a post tonight
